Six junior colleges in Pune have been given responsibility to conduct special classes for the candidates who seek admissions into the First Year Junior Colleges(FYJC). The classes for the first year students commenced from 18-July-2016. However, the government has announced five more rounds of counselling which will begin on 27th July 2016. The vacant seats in various colleges are filled through Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The candidates who haven’t been allotted seats so far can attend the counselling.
Deputy Director of Education, Pune, Mr. Dinkar Temkar said that a total number of six colleges in Pune are given orders to conduct special classes for the candidates who joined late. This initiative has been taken to avoid loss of classes and syllabus for the latecomers.
The following colleges are directed to conduct special classes:-
- SP College
- SM Joshi Junior College
- Shri Mhalsakant Junior College
- Modern College
- Sadhana College and
- Jai Hind College
The colleges have also been directed to arrange classrooms and faculty for these special classes. The colleges are gearing up to submit the timetable and details of special classes to CAP. The special classes will be conducted from 27-July-2016 to 13-August-2016.
