Candidates can check their allotment details online and report any discrepancies to the authorities. The seat allocation is purely provisional, based on merit and fresh choices filled online by candidates. Candidates who have been allocated seats according to their first preference in any round of counselling will not be part of the next round unless they pay Rs 1,200/- (Rs 600/- for SC/ST candidates) and opt out of their allocated seat.

Seats will be allocated based on merit and fresh choices filled by candidates, and reporting must be completed on July 25.
85% seats are reserved for candidates from within the State of Punjab.
15% seats are open to candidates from other states and union territories, allocated based on merit.
Vacant seats in reserved categories will be offered to open category candidates, and vice versa.
Supernumerary seats will be created for Kashmiri migrant students temporarily residing in Punjab.
NRI seats will be filled according to the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
Seats will be adjusted across categories if suitable candidates are not available in specific subcategories.
