Sailing to DU Through Sport Quota
Getting admission into the Delhi University is very tough for the students from the open category due to high cut- off marks, linguistic and other reservation but thanks to sport quota students can enter the University easily.
"Nowadays lots of students apply through their sport quota. The demand in sports quota is getting high. Getting admission through sport quota brings spirit of sportsmanship amongst the students. Due to sport quotas students can now better engage themselves for the development of their skills in games and sports. Now days lots of students are bringing medals in Olympic Games, Asian Games , Commonwealth Games and other National and International sporting events. For them it’s a great opportunity to engage themselves in games and sports with seriousness.” said Yash Pal Yadav Director of CD International School Gurgaon.
Nabin kumar who scored 89 per cent in Class XII is looking forward for getting admission in Delhi University through sports quota. "I am hopeful of getting admission in DU so I am focusing on academics as well as sports," said Navin Kumar.
"Most of the Colleges invest a lot in building sports infrastructure to provide the students a platform for their talents and this is a very healthy trends of DU," said a professor from Delhi University.
"I have scored 65% in the board exams, though I fear I may not get admission in the college I am planning to get admission but I will definitely get admission in a good college of DU because of my sport certificates," Said Lokesh Kumar, a student of Shri Chaitanya Public School Rohini Delhi.
This time several national players have applied for admission into DU and most of them are quite hopeful that they would get admission into the colleges of DU.
