Selection Process and Counselling Process after IIMS Entrance Exam

Indian Institute of Maritime Studies Entrance Exam is conducted for the selection of candidates for admission to the Marine Engineering, B.Sc. Nautical Sciences other similar programmes.

Selection Process:

• Apart from the educational qualifications, it is also necessary for you to qualify the age criteria of IIMS Entrance Exam for selection.
• Physical fitness of the candidates is also tested to ensure that they are fit for sea life.
• Admissions are based strictly on merit and candidates will be shortlisted for programmes according to their score in the IIMS Entrance Exam.
• Students who qualify the exam are invited for interview rounds. Interview rounds are conducted for specific programmes.

Counselling Process:

• The institute conducts interviews and counselling process after the announcement of merit list.
• Verification of documents is done on the institute premises and admission is confirmed after the fee is deposited.
