Selection Procedure after Andhra University Post Graduate Entrance Test (AU PET):

AU-PET is conducted at multiple centres across the state of Andhra Pradesh. Selection is based on a merit list that is prepared which has the overall ranks of the candidates.

AU-PET is also known as AUCET (Andhra University Common Entrance Test).

Counselling & Feedback System of AU PET:

  • Admission is based on AUCET Rank provided the eligibility criteria is fulfilled.
  • The entire schedule of admissions will be available on the respective college websites.
  • Once the results of AUCET are declared, college-wise, reservation category-wise, course-wise seat distribution along with fee structure is available on the websites of different colleges (www.andhrauniversity.edu.in/doa).
  • Original certificates and other documents must be produced at the time of verification. These include:
  1. AUCET Rank Card & Hall Ticket
  2. Consolidated Marks statement of Qualifying Exam
  3. Degree or the Provisional Pass Certificate
  4. Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate)
  5. Transfer and Conduct Certificate from the institution where the candidate last studied. Candidates who have completed / studied already or discontinued and seeking admission to second PG or professional course should submit TC relating to first PG course only. Duplicate TC relating to UG / PG degree should be accompanied by proper evidence of loss of original TC. Admission will not be given if TC of the institution where the candidate studied last is not submitted.
  6. 4 recent passport size photos
  7. Migration Certificate (for other Universities)
  8. Intermediate original certificate
  9. Study Certificates for the last seven years or Residence Certificate for preceding seven years of the qualifying examination.
  10. Valid latest income certificate issued by M.R.O./ Thasildar if fee concession is claimed (the validity of income certificate is four years from the date of issue) or White ration card
  11. Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of ST/SC/EBC/BC/minority candidates
  12. Physical fitness certificate from an Asst. Civil Surgeon
  13. Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of children of armed personnel
  14. Candidates opting for admission under NCC/CAP/Sports/PH/NSS quota shall produce a relevant original certificate
  15. One set of photostat copies of all the above certificates
  • Once the certificates are verified, candidates can get all original certificates back except Migration, TC and CC certificates.
  • No cases of any kind of pending re-evaluation will be considered.
  • The concerned University has the right to deny entry into AUCET-2016. If the University figures out that the antecedents of the candidates are bad subsequent to the appearance of AUCET-2016, his/her rank might be cancelled and denied admission into any course.
  • Admissions granted are purely provisional and the University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage.

Admission Guidelines:

  • The conversion of any reserved or special category seats into other categories will not be done in the first phase counseling.
  • Web options will be available for the students where he/she can select the course of study from.
  • If a candidate does not claim their special or reservation category at the time of submission of applications will still be allowed to opt for that particular category if they produce original certificates.
  • If the seats under the Other States quota in M.Sc. Coastal Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology, M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology, M.Sc. Space Physics are not filled, they will be converted to seats under the open category.
  • Cancellation of seats is done with 90% refund of the total fee prescribed before the completion of the first phase of counselling, 80% refund of the total fee prescribed before completion of the second phase counselling, no fee refund after the second phase of counselling.
