Manipal University is synonymous with excellence in higher education. Over 28,000 students from 57 different nations live, learn and play in the sprawling University town, nestled on a plateau in Karnataka’s Udupi district. It also has nearly 2500 faculty and almost 10000 other support and service staff, who cater to the various professional institutions in health sciences, engineering, management, communication and humanities which dot the Wi-Fi-enabled campus.

The University has off-campuses in Mangalore and Bangalore, and off-shore campuses in Dubai (UAE) and Melaka (Malaysia). The Mangalore campus offers medical, dental, and nursing programs. The Bangalore Campus offers programs in Regenerative Medicine. The Dubai campus offers programs in engineering, management and architecture, and the Melaka campus offers programs in medicine and dentistry.

For courses where admissions are based on your scores, you need to submit your scores for the qualifying examination on or before the respective last date .

For other courses, you need to submit only the proof of passing your qualifying examination at the time of counselling/ admission.

A student applying under General category for the undergraduate courses and Post Graduate course under General/Foreign/NRI/ categories can apply Online.

Admission to Manipal University is through the online entrance examination, which is held at centres all over India. MU do not have any management quota. Only two quota's - general quota, admissions of which are based on the ranking obtained by the student in the entrance exam conducted by Manipal University and the other is foreign/NRI quota, where admissions are direct based on merit as per the marks/grades obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent exam).

Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

ADMISSIONS

General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) 2017.

Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Note: Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.
