Seminar on "Excellence through Education" was organised on the 4th day of the Rozgar Mela.
It was jointly organised by the campus placement cell and regional centre of IGNOU. IGNOU Regional Director Manorama Singh highlighted the important role of open and distance education in the country.
She told the students that they could continue their education along with their employment with the help of more than 3,000 study centres of IGNOU spread across India. She further explained about the flexibility offered by IGNOU where any candidate could pursue education as per their convenience.
Fisheries Development Corporation chairperson, Rajpal Kashyap emphasised upon the proactive role of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister in the creation of employment and self-employment opportunities with the help of various schemes to the youths of the state.
Since its beginning, IGNOU Regional Centre, Lucknow has tried to provide a strong Student Support Network and vibrant support services to the learners at all levels, which led to bagging of two Gold Medals within a span of five years.
