S.K. Patel Institute of Management and Computer Studies- SKPIMCS MBA organized its alumni meet on 25th February 2018. The alumni meet was held at Fire & Flames Banquet Hall, Ahmedabad from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. Various alumni such as Dr. Kanubhai Patel, Vice -Chairman KVM, Registrar Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya, Dr. Bhavin Pandya, Dean, Faculty of Management and Director, SKPIMCS-MBA among others graced the event with their presence. They recalled their memories at the event and shared their experiences and success stories.
The highlight of the alumni meet was the award ceremony during which alumnus was awarded in five different categories. Ms. Ashika Dhokai was awarded Entrepreneurial Achiever for her outstanding work in the field of entrepreneurship. Mr. Gupta was given the Outstanding Achiever award while Mr. Abhinav Singh was awarded for excellence in academics and others.
Maitri Sharma, News Writer, S&P Global Ltd. of academic batch 2004-06 addressed the audience and shared her experiences at the institute and talked about her journey and career opportunities. One of the other speaker at the meet was Miral Sachdeva, Manager, IDBI Bank who talked about his experience in financial services and the factors that can help one have a successful career in the same. He also talked about the importance of MBA degree and how it added to his career graph.
The meet was concluded with a video screening regarding the journey of the institute since past 20 years and its achievements. There was also a small cultural event organized by the students of the institute in the honor of alumni. The cultural event was headed by Prof. Prakash M. Chawla and Prof. Sandhya Harkawat.
