Success stories of some students are a source of inspiration to many. Most of the students coming from economically weaker sections face several hardships and despite that achieve great success. The story of Ashok Yadav, a son of daily wage labour is one of such kind. He secured an overall 82% in CBSE Class 12 results, and 93% in his favourite subject Physics. He hails from Lucknow and completed his school education from St. Anjani’s Public School, Rajajipuram.
Ashok’s father works as a marble mason on daily wage basis. They live in a one-room house, which does not even have electricity. Ashok Yadav got admission in St. Anjani’s Public School with the help of the Founder and Director of the school, Mr. Saxena. He was impressed by the skills and work of Ashok’s father in marble setting work. Initially, Mr. Saxena offered extra cash to Mr. Rajesh, Ashok’s father. However, Mr. Rajesh refused the cash and requested Mr. Saxena to give admission to his son.

Ashok Yadav said that Mr. Saxena had charged only minimal fees understanding the family condition. He excelled in studies and became the class monitor within few days. He maintained his position in top three ranks in the class. Ashok was also appointed as the sports captain for his exceptional leadership skills.
Besides school education, Ashok also won various prizes and medals in the competitions conducted by various organisations. He won a medal in District Science Championship conducted by Department of Science and Technology, UP Government. He also excelled in IT Quiz and Mathlete.

Ashok became the talk of the town for his innovation. He developed a multi-terrain miniature tank for the use in armed forces complete with a hidden surveillance camera. He made this development during a tech fest and bagged gold medal for his vision and design. His ultimate aim is to join the armed forces and serve the country.
