- Participants will be able to gauge good practices and techniques for research writing through this initiative.
Department of Commerce and Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM University, Kattankulathur is organizing a seminar on "Writing Skills and Techniques - Research Proposal". The seminar is being organised in association with ICSSR and Vijay Nicole Publications. The event will take place on January 9, 2018, at the SRM University premises.
Importance of a Good Research Proposal:
A research proposal is considered as the concise and coherent summary of one's proposed research. It sets the issue or topic which is further addressed by the researcher. It acts as the first impression of one's research and hence, writing a good proposal is very important. The seminar which will be conducted early next year will take into account all the important topics one should take note of or keep in mind while writing a winning research proposal.

The Department of Commerce of SRM University helps its students in guiding and motivating them in every step they take in order to become worthy managers and administrators in the field. The department offers three-years U.G degree program and two-year P.G programs which focus on subjects like accounting, taxation, computer application, banking, managerial economics, business law, e-commerce, e-banking, statistics etc.

Faculty of Science and Humanities (FSH) was established in 2003. It started off as the Department of Biotechnology offering courses at both bachelors and masters levels. Currently, FSH has ten major and five allied departments together offering 23 courses at the UG and PG levels.
