Indian Institute of Management, Sambalpur is all set to launch an Executive MBA course for working professionals next year in 2018, the duration of which will be one year. The PGP course for Executives at IIM Sambhalpur would be conducted during the weekends so that participants find it flexible.
Director of IIM Sambalpur, Mr. Mahadeo Jaiswal gave confirmation regarding the Executive MBA course during the business conclave ‘Marmagya 2.0’ last week.

Candidates who enroll for the Executive MBA from IIM Sambhalpur will get a clear-cut idea of social innovation and will be taught on the ways to solve social problems with the help of innovative business models. The participants will learn probable ways to create social value similar to different government and private companies.
Mr. Mahadeo Jaiswal also revealed that IIM Sambalpur is in plans to launch a short-term course for industry professionals. The framing of the syllabus, course structure, fee structure along with other course-related formalities are currently underway. The newly launched management institute will also launch a Ph.D. course after the required infrastructure is accumulated, he added.

The current intake of IIM Sambalpur is 120 for the PGP course. The student strength will be doubled next year. The construction of its permanent campus will be completed in three years. So far, only the boundary has been installed. The main construction of the building will begin soon. The administration of IIM Sambalpur has decided to shift to Sambalpur University campus by the end of January 2018 for its operations.
