The Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK) has started announcing the March 2016 semester exam results. The Controller of examinations (CoE), Mahesh Kakade said that 20 central assessment programme (CAP) centres across the Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur districts were allotted for exam assessment. The semester exam had been advanced by around a month.
" Kakade said that the drawn results include undergraduate as well as the postgraduate courses for arts, commerce and science streams. The engineering exam assessment is currently underway at seven CAP centres across the three districts. For the remaining courses, 20 CAP centres have been established.
Kakade added that the results of all MSc courses have been drawn at present. This was possible as all the CAP centres for university courses are situated on campus. Over 500 examinations were conducted from March this year. The work for drawing results is still underway and is likely to be completed by mid-June.
The exam department had scheduled October 2014 semester examination to be completed in 56 days. Kakade said that the introduction of work profiling, where the exam department staff was allotted certain duties as well as the implementation of Internal Mark Entry Software (IMES) for evaluation and data entry are proving to be of great help for drawing results on time.
"University once getting the full control over the examination will be able to draw results on time as well as find out the root causes of the issues the department is tackling. "
