Tamil Nadu School Holiday Update 29 October 2025: 5 districts of Tamil Nadu are receiving heavy rains, and 4 districts are under alert for heavy rains on October 28, and the similar conditions are expected to prevail on October 29 as well. Heavy rains are occurring in Tamil Nadu due to the impact of Cyclone Montha in the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Considering the heavy rain conditions, Tamil Nadu School Holiday on 28 October 2025 was announced in Tiruvallur and Chennai districts. If the heavy rains continue till the late night of October 28 and early hours of October 29, there is a chance for a school holiday in 2-4 districts of Tamil Nadu. District Collectors shall take the decision on the school holiday announcement based on the rain conditions in their respective districts.
