Second Batch of LEAD Programme Launched by TAPMI and Mu Sigma

Those who joined the first batch of this joint-venture will receive their certificates in the mid of this year who will join Mu Sigma as apprentice ALs. The second batch begins with 32 students.

Mu Sigma and TAPMI Starts second batch of LEAD

The second batch of LEAD or Leadership through Analytics and Decision Sciences, which is a joint venture of TAPMI and Mu Sigma, was successfully initiated in Mu Sigma’s Bangalore office on 29th January 2020. LEAD is an 11-month postgraduate programme whose aim is to create next-generation decision scientists who are young and dynamic. After going through this 11-month programme successfully, students will be taken in as trainee Apprentice Leaders in Mu Sigma. In total, 32 students have been chosen to join the programme after being put through a rigorous selection process.

According to Mu Sigma’s Head of Operations Ananth Vaidyanathan, the collaborative programme aims at creating a unique batch of decision scientists who will be adept in thinking in an interdisciplinary manner and continuously introduce something new at the intersection of design thinking, behavioural science, technology, business and maths. The pioneer batch is all set to join Mu Sigma in the mid of 2020 after completing their training.

Vaidyanathan also added that the number of applicants who have applied for the second batch is a heartening fact which proves that individuals, academia and industry are bracing the innovative way of learning gleefully.

TAPMI Director Madhu Veeraraghavan is hopeful of providing an astonishing learning experience for everyone given the fact that top-class Mu Sigma and TAPMI faculties will be working in collaboration. The programme will be carried out in the 44-acre beautiful Manipul campus.

For 11 months from the date of commencement of the programme, the chosen ones will be taken through a mix of classroom and experiential sessions. Out of the 11 months, the students will go through a six-month training process where the prima focus will be on delivering foundations of leadership, behavioural science, design thinking, business communication and management. The other 5-month of the training programme will be conducted in Mu Sigma where the students will work under the supervision of Mu Sigma’s decision scientists where they will be exposed to multi-disciplinary real-world problems.
