Status of Discussions on Fee Reimbursement Issue Talks Successful Strike Called Off
A discussion with Telangana Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka took place from 4 PM to 9:30 PM. The government discussed the issue, and the association of private colleges are satisfied with the government's decision. On September 15, a preliminary meeting was held in which the Telangana Govt assured to clear ₹ 1200 crore dues, and the same has been confirmed today, September 16.

The Telangana fee reimbursement issue has been there for a while. The state government has been constantly failing to clear the fee reimbursement dues for the past four years. Almost 8,000 crore in dues are pending. As there is a massive delay in clearing dues, private colleges are not able to meet financial expenses for running the operations. For instance, many private colleges are facing difficulty in paying salaries to teaching faculty. FATHI is now demanding the release of a new GO by September 30, through which the state government shall commit to clear dues regularly (every academic year).
