Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has inaugurated the first Techno Rural Startup Incubation Centre, i.e., Telangana Innovation and Incubation Centre (TIIC). The inaugural ceremony took place at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (IIIT Basar) campus. Sirasani Satyanarayana, Vice Chancellor and Sundeep Kumar Makthala, TITA Global President together inaugurated the centre.
The incubation centre will support and enable the students of Indian Institute of Information Technology and youth around the village to develop their potential ideas into startups. The support will be given in the form of ideation, funding, mentoring and knowledge support.
On this occasion, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Basar and TITA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create the startup ecosystem in the campus. The MoU also enables entrepreneurship with business plans along with the prototype infrastructure.
For extending the services of TIIC, multimedia firm Prism Multimedia, US-based Adsidious and Japan-based SafeTraceHub have come forward and assured support.
Through TIIC, IIIT and TITA would be working on the main projects undertaken by Central Government as well as the Government of Telangana.
TITA is also planning to establish incubation centres in all the universities and colleges across Telangana. The main objective of TITA is to encourage new startups at the college level. The initiative and MoU will witness the free flow of ideas and their implementation. For this purpose, TIIC will help students to generate startups from selected ideas. These startups will create jobs opportunities to the rural youth of the region.
