The second-year examination of MBBS students in Telangana was called off by the Kaloji Narayan Rao University of Health Sciences - KNRUHS on 28th Jan 2019. The MBBS examination got cancelled after different sets of question papers were dispatched by the authorities to some colleges.
The second-year MBBS students of the state expressed their anger over the same and called it the mere negligence of the varsity. The students were appearing for the pharmacology examination.
According to the sources, some medical students received Set A while others received the Set B which led to confusion among management and examination department.
Only single set to paper has to be distributed by the university instead different sets were dispatched to Osmania Medical College, and another set was dispatched to Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences which created massive chaos.
Therefore, the varsity decided to call of the examination. The Pharmacology Paper 1 will now be conducted on 12th February 2019 from 10 am to 12 pm. The university further asked all the colleges to notify all the students about the same and to take their notice on the signature.
However, students refused to re-appear for the examination. As per the students, it is the university which is to be blamed for this and the exam should be reconsidered and not cancelled.
