With the establishment of the Tribal University, all the colleges of Banswara, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh districts which are affiliated to Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU) will be now affiliated to Tribal University.
However, the new session will start in just two months and in Tribal University, many works are incomplete like employee recruitment, the new campus building construction and other function. In this situation, college students may have trouble to joining the new university.
MLSU has 83 public and private colleges under its affiliation in this division including Banswara, Pratapgarh, and Dungarpur. In which more than 60 thousand students are studying. Higher Education Minister Mr. Kalicharan Sarraf has announced in the assembly during budget session that Rajiv Gandhi Tribal University will be operated in Banswara with the name as Govind Guru. In all state universities, a new session will start from July. Here, in tribal university except chancellor and registrar, all other posts are vacant.
No Work Plan till now: - Being told that Guru Govind College Banswara will be upgraded into the university. From the new session, 60 thousand students going to take admissions, in this context what will be the arrangements come into effect, could not be decided yet, it’s all are jus in drafts. The transfer of university may be postponed until the next session.
MLSU shall have150 colleges: - Right now in the division 233 colleges are affiliated to the MLSU. After diverting 83 colleges into Tribal University the number will be reduced to 150 only. Experts have said that it would reduce the workload of MLSU and also the University's income will be reduced significantly.
These are the circumstances right not at Tribal University: - Tribal University was founded in 2013. From July 2014 in the three disciplines of PG, university operated in Rana Punja Hostel which was hired from MLSU. Currently, there are about 200 students. The government announced its transfer before pass-out its first batch.
