TNEA 2022 General Counselling Revised Dates Released: Check Schedule for Academic & Vocational

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Committee has revised the TNEA 2022 General Counselling date, which will be started on September 10, 2022, in the online mode. TNEA General counselling 2022 will be continued for November 13, 2022. After that, the authority will start the supplementary counselling on November 15, 2022. Four rounds of counselling will be held and the process will end on November 20, 2022. The authority has delayed the TNEA 2022 General counselling since the NEET UG result 2022 is not yet declared. NTA will announce the NEET result 2022 tentatively by September 7, 2022. Hence, the authority has scheduled the TNEA 2022 General counselling date after a few days of releasing the NEET 2022 result.   

TNEA 2022 Counselling Schedule: Revised Dates

The final seat allotment will be done based on the available number of total seats, the rank list and the preference of the candidates for admission to the engineering courses in the state of Tamil Nadu. The rule of the reservation will be maintained during the admission process. According to the reservation policy, 31% of seats will be filled for the general category and 18% of seats are reserved for the backward caste candidates. 

Through the TNEA counselling 2022, the candidates will be able to make choices of colleges as per their preferences. Along with it, the candidates will have to pay the counselling fee and also submit the documents for confirming their seats at the specific college. TNEA counselling fee is Rs 5000 and Rs 1000 for the General category and reserved category candidates respectively.

Once the candidates confirm their admission to the allotted colleges, then they should report at the allotted institutes and submit the complete documents/ certificates.
