UCEED 2026 Reservation Policy: IIT Bombay has released the UCEED 2026 Reservation Policy for various categories on its official website. According to the announcement, a total of 245 seats will be available across six IIT’s and one IIIT — namely, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. It is important to note that the participating institutes reserve the right to modify the seat reservation structure.

The category selected by candidates in the database will be considered final and will also apply during the UCEED 2026 examination. No requests for category changes will be accepted after submission. Additionally, any unfilled seats in the reserved or general categories will not be reallocated to candidates from other categories.

As per the UCEED 2026 Reservation Policy, candidates belonging to the creamy layer of the OBC category will not be eligible for reservation benefits. Such candidates will be considered under the General (GEN)/Unreserved category and can only compete for seats in the Open category. Furthermore, only OBC-NCL and EWS certificates issued on or after April 1, 2025, will be accepted by the authorities.

Reservation benefits will be granted only after successful document verification. If, at any stage, it is discovered that a candidate has submitted invalid or incorrect documents, they will forfeit any reservation advantage. In cases where admission has already been granted under such circumstances, it will be automatically cancelled. For example, if a PwD candidate provides a false certificate, their reservation status will be revoked and treated as General category, and their candidature will also be cancelled.
