CTET Answer Key 2026 LIVE Updates

  • 12 00 PM IST - 19 Feb'26

Are there any teaching career opportunities available for candidates who haven't qualified for CTET yet?

Yes, while CTET is mandatory for permanent posts in central government schools (KVS/NVS), many private CBSE-affiliated schools and state-run budget schools hire teachers based on their B.Ed or D.El.Ed degrees while allowing them a window of 1–2 years to clear CTET. You can also explore roles as a subject matter expert (SME), educational content creator, or private tutor. These roles provide valuable classroom experience that will eventually help you with the pedagogy section of the exam.

  • 11 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

What immediate steps should a candidate take if they do not qualify in the February 2026 session?

The first step is to download your OMR sheet during the challenge window to identify exactly which subject (e.g., Mathematics or Language II) caused the score to drop. Once you identify your weak areas, you should consider applying for State Teacher Eligibility Tests (STETs) like UPTET, REET, or Bihar TET, which often occur between CTET cycles and have overlapping syllabi. These exams provide a safety net and keep you in the "competitive mindset" for the next central attempt.

  • 10 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

What are the most important preparation tips for candidates aiming for the second 2026 session?

Your primary focus should be a deep analysis of the February 2026 papers, as CBSE often maintains a similar difficulty level and question style within the same calendar year. Since the exam has moved back to the offline OMR format, you must practice shading answer sheets under timed conditions to avoid last-minute panic. Additionally, shift your focus from rote memorization to application-based pedagogy, particularly for Assertion-Reasoning questions which are becoming a staple in the EVS and CDP sections.

  • 09 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

When will the next CTET exam be conducted for candidates who want to appear in the second session of 2026?

While CBSE has not yet released the official notification, historical trends suggest the 22nd edition of CTET will likely be held in July or August 2026. You should expect the official notification and application form to be available on ctet.nic.in by late March or early April 2026. This gives you a clear four-month window to refine your preparation.

  • 08 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

Why should a candidate re-appear for the next CTET if they have already qualified with the minimum 90 marks?

Although the CTET certificate now has lifetime validity, many top-tier recruitment bodies like KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) and DSSSB are increasingly competitive. A higher score (such as 120+) serves as a powerful credential on your resume and can be a deciding factor during the shortlisting process for interviews. Re-appearing to improve your score is a strategic move to ensure you stay at the top of the merit list when permanent vacancies are announced.

  • 07 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

CTET February 2026 Certificate: Lifetime Validity Confirmation

The CTET February 2026 certificate comes with Lifetime Validity. Once you qualify, you do not need to appear for the exam again unless you wish to improve your score. This applies to both Paper I and Paper II across all categories (General/OBC/SC/ST).

  • 06 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

    SMS Notification for Credentials

Qualified candidates will receive an automated SMS from CBSE on their registered mobile numbers once the results are processed. This SMS typically contains the login credentials or a notification that the documents have been uploaded to your DigiLocker account.

  • 05 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

    Digital-Only Issuance via DigiLocker

CBSE will not send physical marksheets or certificates by post. All documents for the February 2026 session will be issued digitally through DigiLocker. This digital version is legally valid under the IT Act and features an encrypted QR code for instant verification by recruitment agencies like KVS, NVS, and DSSSB.

  • 04 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

CTET 2026 Answer Key: Refund status inquiry

For this, candidates need to email to ctet.cbse@nic.in after the final result for refund status inquiry.

  • 03 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

CTET Provisional Answer Key 2026: Payment Success but Challenge not shown

Wait for 2 hours before trying again. Do not pay twice. Check "Payment Status” before doing so.

  • 02 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

    Wrong Language Key showing

If wrong language answer key is showing, ensure you selected the correct Language 1 and 2 in the dropdown.

  • 01 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

Discrepancy Between Question Booklet & Key

    Ensure you are matching your OMR against the correct Set Code (A, B, C, D / E, F, G, H).

The Trap: Candidates often download the "Main Key" but forget that their specific booklet code might have a different sequence.

Verification: The Answer Key PDF usually has different pages for different sets. Scroll down carefully to find the page that matches the code printed on your OMR sheet.

  • 12 00 AM IST - 19 Feb'26

OMR Sheet "Not Found" or Error 404

If you login and cannot see your OMR image while others can:

The Reason: Your OMR might still be in the "Upload Queue." Large batches of 25+ lakh images take time to sync.

Solution: Clear your browser cache or try a "Private/Incognito" window. If it still doesn't appear after 24 hours, use the CBSE CTET Helpline (011-22240112) immediately, as the window is only 3–4 days long.

  • 11 00 PM IST - 18 Feb'26

CBSE CTET Feb Unofficial Answer Key 2026: Bank Account for Challenge Refunds

A common mistake is paying the ₹1,000 fee via a cyber cafe or a friend's card.

The Risk: If your challenge is accepted, the refund is automatically credited back to the original payment source.

Action: Always use your own (or a family member's) bank account so you can track the refund, which can take 60–90 days post-result declaration to process.

  • 10 00 PM IST - 18 Feb'26

    Scanned OMR Showing "Double Bubbles"

If your scanned OMR shows two darkened circles for one question due to a stray mark:

The Machine Logic: The OMR scanner is programmed to reject any question with more than one mark.

Can you challenge this? No. CBSE does not accept challenges regarding "manual filling errors." If you double-bubbled, that specific question will be marked as 0, even if one of the bubbles was the correct answer.

  • 09 00 PM IST - 18 Feb'26

The "Asterisk (*)" or "NA" in Answer Key

Sometimes, the official answer key contains an asterisk (*) or "9" instead of an option (1, 2, 3, or 4).

What it means: This indicates the question was found to be technically incorrect or had multiple correct options.

The Result: Marks for such questions are usually awarded to all candidates (Bonus Marks), regardless of whether you attempted it or not.

No. You should count +1 for every correct match and 0 for incorrect/unattempted questions.

  • 10 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

Will there be a re-exam for the Vaishali (Bihar) centres?

Yes. Due to cancellations at two centres, a re-exam will be held within 15 days of the original date. Their answer keys will be released separately.

  • 09 30 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

I don't have my Application Number. Can I still login?

Yes. You can use your Roll Number and Date of Birth to access the Answer Key and OMR portal.

  • 09 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

CBSE CTET February Answer Key 2026: What if I paid the fee but my challenge was rejected?

The fee is non-refundable if the subject experts disagree with your objection.

  • 08 30 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

Do I get a refund if someone else's challenge for the same question is accepted?

No. Refunds are only issued to the specific candidate(s) who paid the ₹1,000 fee and filed the formal challenge

  • 08 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

Can I challenge the Final Answer Key?

No. Challenges are only accepted for the Provisional key. The Final Key is absolute and results are based on it.

  • 07 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

What happens if an error is confirmed in question paper?

Dropped Question: If the error is verified by CBSE experts, the question is "dropped," and marks are awarded to all candidates (Full Mark) or the paper is evaluated out of 149 instead of 150.

Multiple Correct Options: If two options are found equally valid, CBSE awards marks for both.

  • 06 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

Social Science (SST) History Printing Glitch

In some sets of Paper 2, candidates reported a minor printing glitch in a question regarding the Harappan Civilization. One option allegedly had a typo that changed the date mentioned. While usually dismissed as a "minor error," it can be challenged if it significantly impacts the accuracy of the answer according to NCERT History (Class 6).

  • 05 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

CBSE CTET Feb Answer Key 2026: EVS "Assertion-Reason" Logic Conflicts

Several candidates and teachers have noted that the Assertion-Reasoning questions in EVS (Paper 1) were particularly tricky this year. Specifically, a question about the Forest Rights Act 2007 had an 'Assertion' and 'Reason' that are both individually true, but the 'Reason' may not be the correct explanation for the 'Assertion.' This is a classic "gray area" where the official key is eagerly awaited.

  • 04 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

    Mathematics Paper 1 Pattern Discrepancy

In the Shift 2 Mathematics section of Paper 1, a specific numerical series question (3, 10, 32, 99...) has been debated. While some unofficial keys suggest 1209, others argue that the logic used in the paper is flawed. If the pattern is mathematically inconsistent, this question might be dropped by the board during the final result preparation.

  • 03 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

    Hindi Pedagogy "Translation Errors"

Analysis by experts suggests a potential translation discrepancy in the Hindi Language section of Paper 2. One question related to 'Language Acquisition Device (LAD)' had a slightly different meaning in the Hindi version compared to the English version. In such cases, CBSE's standard rule is that the English version is considered final, but this remains a strong candidate for a formal challenge.

  • 02 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

Ambiguity in CDP "Inclusive Education" Questions

Experts have flagged 2–3 questions in the Child Development & Pedagogy (CDP) section as "highly ambiguous." In Paper 1, a question regarding 'Teacher's role in inclusive setups' had two options that technically both align with NCERT but differ in pedagogical priority. Experts suggest these might be "common marks" questions if the official key doesn't clarify the intent.

  • 01 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

Documents Required for Challenging Answer Key

While the portal primarily requires you to select the "correct" option, you must upload supporting documents or references to justify your claim. It is highly recommended to use NCERT textbooks as your primary reference, as CBSE strictly follows NCERT curriculum standards for validation.

  • 12 00 AM IST - 18 Feb'26

CBSE CTET Answer Key 2026: Candidate Registration Statistics

A record-breaking 25.3 lakh candidates registered for the CTET February 2026 exam. This is a significant increase compared to the July 2024 session (20.2 lakh) and the December 2024 session (16.7 lakh). The surge was most prominent in the final 48 hours of registration, during which nearly 7.7 lakh applications were submitted.

  • 11 00 PM IST - 17 Feb'26

What to Expect Answer Key Post-Challenge?

Subject matter experts will review all paid challenges. If a challenge is found valid (i.e., the expert committee agrees the official key was wrong), the fee will be refunded to the candidate's original payment account. Based on the accepted changes, a Final Answer Key will be prepared, and the results will be declared shortly thereafter (expected by late March 2026).

  • 10 00 PM IST - 17 Feb'26

What is the fee for raising objection on CTET 2026 Unofficial Answer Key?

Candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1,000 per question challenged. Payment must be made online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. Challenges submitted without the fee or through other mediums (email/post) will not be considered.

  • 09 00 PM IST - 17 Feb'26

CTET Unofficial Answer Key 2026: Why the Release Rarely Happens Before Noon

Server logs from previous years show that the first half of the day (9 AM – 1 PM) is used for final data verification and uploading PDF sets (A, B, C, D) for both papers. Actual public access is almost always granted during the second half of the workday.

  • 07 30 PM IST - 17 Feb'26

Trend of the "New Year" Session (Shift 2 Preference)

In the most recent December 2024 cycle, the answer key was released around 4 PM. Because the 2026 exam was held in two shifts, the board tends to wait until the data for both Shift 1 and Shift 2 is fully ready for deployment, favoring an afternoon release over a morning one.

  • 07 00 PM IST - 17 Feb'26

    The "Candidate Login" Synchronization Time

CBSE usually updates the back-end login portal about 30–60 minutes before the official link appears on the front page. Candidates who keep their login dashboard open often see the "View/Challenge Answer Key" button appear as early as 2 PM, even if the public notice isn't out yet.

  • 06 30 PM IST - 17 Feb'26

Tracking the "Late Evening" Backup (6 PM – 9 PM)

If technical glitches or server maintenance occurs during the afternoon upload (which often happens due to high traffic), the board typically pushes the link live by 8:30 PM or 9 PM. This ensures the link is stable before the heavy traffic surge of the following morning.

  • 06 00 PM IST - 17 Feb'26

The "Afternoon Activation" Window (2:30 PM – 5:30 PM)

Historically, CBSE avoids early morning releases for CTET. Looking at the January 2024 and July 2024 sessions, the server-side updates typically go live in the mid-afternoon. Specifically, the 5:30 PM IST mark has been a common peak for the "Public Notice" to appear on the homepage.
