UGC has set a target to achieve all the targets mentioned in the new mandate by 2022. The mandate says that the induction programme on the lines of IIT will be organized at the beginning of the session. UGC has also given its nod for launching a learning outcome-based curriculum design. This will bind the universities and educational institutes to revise their curriculum at regular intervals.

The revised norms will also help in testing a student’s progress after completion of the course in order to understand how they have benefited from their course.
