About 56 lakh students who will be sitting for the Uttar Pradesh Board examinations in 2020 will no longer have to face any difficulty in getting their educational certificates rectified. The Uttar Pradesh Board has made online arrangements through which students can get any rectification done in their academic certificates. Nina Srivastava, the secretary of the UP Board, said that district schools will be collecting the existing certificates from schools in the district and then corrections will be made as per the school records. The corrected versions, she said, will be uploaded on the website.
The cases for corrections from class 9th to class 12th will be investigated by the teams of the DIOS (District Inspector Of Schools) till 15th November 2019. An official told that this will also prove to be helpful in checking the fake cases. The DIOS officials will verify the records and then submit them to the Board.
Links have been provided on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Education Board for students appearing for board exams in 2020 who have to correct the errors in the educational details of their high school or intermediate certificates. The students who have registered in advance in classes 9 - 11 can also go to the link and make the corrections, if any, in their educational details. The students will get all information regarding the UP Board certificate correction 2020 on the official website of the Board. The UP Board will be uploading the names of centres that will be conducting the high school examinations 2020 till 9th November 2019.
Nina Srivastava said that the decision of the Board to launch the online correction drive is a part of its initiative to improve the exam systems. The correction drive will be online and will ensure that students are not confronted by any challenges or problems in getting their details corrected in the mark sheets and certificates issued by the UP Board. She further added that the Board has put several mechanisms in place for ensuring that only verified data is included in the mark sheets and certificates that are issued to the students.
Srivastava also said that the UP Board exam 2020 mark sheets will also be containing personal details of students in the Hindi language as well. This is being done as per the directions given by the Allahabad High Court that had instructed the UP Board to include the name of the student and the school and other information on the certificates and mark sheets in both English and Hindi.
Students who have appeared in the UP Board exams from 2017 onwards can avail the facility of online correction of mark sheets and certificates. Apart from going forward with the correction process online, students can opt for the alternate method of requesting for changes in their UP Board certificates through the Seva Kendras located in the state.
