To participate in the counselling process for seat allotment, candidates must qualify for the entrance exam. The merit list of UP NEET UG 2025 will be prepared based on NEET ranks, and in case of a tie, the following criteria will be applied: candidates with higher marks in Biology will be ranked higher, followed by those with higher marks in Chemistry. If the tie persists, candidates with fewer incorrect answers will be preferred. In the event of a continued tie, older candidates will be ranked higher. A separate merit list will be released for each round of counselling. Candidates can expect four rounds of counselling for admission to 9,153 MBBS and 2,251 BDS seats in UP medical colleges.

The admission process involves registration, submission of application forms, release of the merit list, declaration of choices, locking of choices, seat allotment result, and payment of admission fees, followed by document verification. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will have to declare their choices and lock them within the given deadline.
