UP Government has made it official that it will bear all the expenses for the higher education of Akanksha Singh. She has secured 720 marks (100%) score in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET 2020). The exam is conducted for admission to various MBBS/BDS courses in the country.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the state will write to NEET officials asking them to rank Akansha as the topper. The announcement was made by him when he felicitated Kushinagar resident of the topper. He said that by scoring 100% in the NEET 2020 exam Akansha has not only created history but has also made her town and the entire state of Uttar Pradesh proud. She is a role model only for students of her age but for every girl.
Both Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab has scored 720/720 in NEET 2020 exam. While Soyeb Aftab has secured AIR 1, Akansha Singh from Kushinagar has secured AIR 2 She was placed second because of the NEET tie-breaker policy as both the students have scored a perfect score.
She is a daughter of an ex-sergeant of the Indian Air Force, Akansha is AIR 2, NEET topper among girls and also the state topper from Uttar Pradesh. She becomes the only other student along with Soyeb to have achieved the perfect score in NEET 2020. No other student in the history of the exam has secured a 720/720.
