The UPTET 2021-22 candidates who have been tested COVID positive can also sit for the exam by availing the separate arrangements made. Read below to know more.
UPTET 2022 has faced quite a few hurdles, be it postponement due to a paper leak or a threat of delay due to the rising Omicron scare, but the UPTET conducting authorities, UPBEB, have chosen to be firm on taking the exam on January 23, 2022, while also being considerate of the COVID-19 positive candidates.
UP Government conveyed in a tweet on January 20, 2022 that separate seating arrangements would be made for candidates who have tested positive. Such candidates must inform the exam centre staff to be guided to the separate examination room. Positive candidates must take utmost care of social distancing and follow all COVID guidelines so as to not infect another fellow examinee or staff.
It has also been conveyed by the board that UPTET 2022 exam will adhere to strict COVID-19 protocols. Every candidate, irrespective if previously tested positive or not, would undergo thermal scanning while masks, sanitisers, and social distancing are a must.

In a recent meeting held through video conferencing with UPBEB authorities, UP CM Yogi Adityanath conveyed to them that every examination centre must be properly investigated. If the previous record is found doubtful, that institute shall be discarded as a centre for UPTET 2022. The UPBEB authorities are told to monitor the exam arrangements closely, which comes as a precaution to avoid another error of paper leak.
For now, this decision has relieved the COVID-19 positive candidates that their year would not be wasted because of the pandemic.
