The MoU came to the forefront after the students of the University, in collaboration with France-based Francecol Technology Company, developed a new electric bicycle. As per the press report of the University, the students of the University have created an embedded wheel driven e-bicycle which is the first of its kind in the existing category of bicycles.

The e-bicycle looks like any ordinary bicycle and has a specially designed wheel drive. It can turn any ordinary bicycle into an e-bicycle.

Veltech University students have developed the power drive and it is embedded with the control system which works on inverter technology. The drive of the bicycle can convert the direct current from the battery into a three-phase current. The wheel drive of the bicycle is also enabled with Bluetooth technology. It can be tracked easily and used for rental services.
