VIT University PhD Admission January 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria for VIT's PhD programs. For the PhD program, a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale is required. In contrast, Direct PhD programs require 75% marks or a CGPA of 7.5, while PhD in Deep Tech programs demand a higher threshold of 75% marks or a CGPA of 8.0 on a 10-point scale in the relevant degree.
VITREE 2025 Exam Pattern
The VITREE 2025 exam is conducted for admission to PhD, Direct PhD, and PhD in Deep Technology programs at VIT institutions. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions, with a duration of 2 hours. There is no negative marking, and candidates are awarded 1 mark for each correct answer.
