VR Siddhartha Organized Guest Lecture on Communication Technologies

The CSE Department of VR Siddhartha College of Engineering organized guest lecture on ‘Communication Technologies and Applications’ at college central library on 22-June-2016. The guest lecture was delivered by Mr. P. Ravindra, Scientist.

Mr. P. Ravindra asserted that the students must be aware of advancement of technology. There have been rapid developments in the technology regularly. Communication technology includes telephone, radio, television, internet and social media. There has been wide interest in the people in this technology.

He mentioned the Advantages of Communication Technology:-

• It enables the people around the world to communicate freely and even can share photos, videos and even organize events with the people.
• The communication technology enabled the people flexibility.
• Today people are doing online transactions and payments instead of going to banks and buying of various goods and services.
• The role of communication technology in military is high as the communication is based through various equipment which is used for communication.

He advised the students to figure of positives and negatives of communication technology. He concluded that if the communication technology is used in a positive way it gives lot of benefits to the users. In the same way proper steps must be taken to avoid misuse of this technology.
