It is quite clear that Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) has rolled back the idea of conducting a single engineering exam for the year 2018 with various states gearing up for conducting the state level engineering entrance exams.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board has released exam date for WBJEE 2018. According to official information, WBJEE 2018 has been scheduled for April 22, 2018. The registrations for the same are expected to begin in the first week of January 2018.
WBJEE 2018 exam will be conducted for the admission to following UG courses: -

Apart from the engineering aspirants, students who wish to pursue B.Pharmacy and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) courses must qualify in WBJEE 2018. The minimum age criteria for a candidate to be eligible for WBJEE 2018 is 17 years. Apart from that, the candidate must have passed 10+2 or should be pursuing. The syllabus of WBJEE is mostly based on the curriculum of the board exam consisting of class 11 & class 12 syllabus.
WBJEE 2018 exam will be conducted for a total of 200 marks in which candidates will have to attempt 155 questions in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. The candidates will have only two hours to answer all the questions. There is a provision for negative marking in WBJEE 2018 exam as well. Last year, 1/4th mark was deduced for the each answer attempt under Category I and Category II of the question paper.
From the application process to the declaration of result, everything will be carried out in an online mode. Candidates must be ready with a valid email ID by the time the registrations begin for WBJEE 2018 exam.
