Will JEST 2022 be Postponed due to Omicron Scare?

JEST 2022: Undoubtedly, the cases of Omicron are shooting up every day in India. All the aspirants are in dilemma whether the Joint Entrance Screening Test 2022 will be conducted as per the date, released by the official, or postponed. The Omicron, the newest variant and one of the variants of SARS causes COVID. It is more dangerous. There is a lot of uncertainty about different exams.  

As the cases of Omicron are increasing daily, there are many exams being postponed in India. Similarly, there is the possibility of postponing the JEST Exam 2022, which is scheduled for the 13^th of March 2022. Even last year JEST Exam 2021 also was postponed. It was scheduled for 11^th April 2021 but due to a sudden rise in the COVID cases, the exam was postponed and held on the 25^th of July 2021.

The JEST Examination conducting officials wanted to conduct the exam much earlier than last year, because of which the examination date of JEST 2022 was scheduled a month earlier (13^th of March 2022) than last year's first release date (11^th April 2021).  This shows that the examination may not be postponed.  

Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) along with JEST officials wanted to reduce the gaps in this academic session, because of which they released the date for JEST 2022 much earlier. And most probably, the exam will be conducted as per the schedule. Candidates are suggested to wait in patience for the official confirmation. JEST is an entrance exam for the aspirants who would like to seek admission for Ph.D., Integrated Ph.D. Programme in the subjects like Physics, Computational Biology, Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience.  The registration will be open until the 18^th of January. The JEST 2022 exam is scheduled for the 13^th of March 2022.
