Engineering students from all over the country are invited for the ‘Trial Week’ in Zomato India, in which, the engineering students get to work with the engineering team of Zomato India for a week. The scheme started in 2017 and became a huge hit amongst aspiring engineers. Many engineers also secured a place in Zomato after working with the company for a week.
This opportunity helps to build skills among the new engineers and also gives them a platform to build, contribute and gain experience of working in the industry. Thus, the company has also brought some best students on board. This trial week has also taught students about Zomato’s work culture and ideologies.
Firstly, Zomato India will shortlist the applications according to their engineering specialisation, platform, and profile. The emphasis will be given to women engineers applying for the Zomato India Trial Week.
The company will call the shortlisted candidates. For the current year, the candidates will be called from 8th to 12th, 15th to 19th and 22nd to 26th April in three slots. The applicants will have to be present in the Gurgaon office of Zomato within the three slots.
The company is likely to assign them to some of the most challenging roles and tasks that will test their proficiency and practical knowledge. A mentor from Zomato will be in charge to assist them in their works.

He also added that the process is more efficient than the traditional interview method as the applicants are getting an opportunity to truly showcase their work in the organisation where interviews give both the employee and employer very little time to come to a decision. The registrations that were opened on 2nd April already received more than 900 applications. The company expresses their wish to take care of the employees' interests and provide them with a suitable environment in which they can work for the company goals by understanding what the company has been doing for 10 years.
