Admissions Closed in Medical Colleges Not Complying With Directions of OC
Medical colleges not complying with the directions of OC and Ministry will not be allowed to start the admission processes.
After it was found out that 5 out of 57 medical colleges approved by Supreme Court-appointed Oversight Committee lack in terms of basic facilities and are not fit to start admissions of medical students, the state governments have been asked by the Union Ministry, not to allow any admissions in colleges which have failed to fulfill and comply with the rules and guidelines required to start admissions.
The Oversight Committee was appointed by the Supreme Court and is headed by Justice RM Lodha. Lately, he had asked all new medical colleges to submit information regarding faculty, bed strength and infrastructure.

According to a notice released by the health ministry, the OC has put the approval provided to these colleges for starting with the admission process on hold until the matter is clear.
Also, for students who wish to join any of the 5 colleges have been asked to visit the official websites of the colleges and look at the images and information provided by these colleges regarding infrastructure, faculty and facilities before taking admission.

The ministry has guided all the state governments to make sure that the colleges who have failed to comply with the guidelines and directions issued by the OC and Health Ministry are not allowed to start with admissions of students.
