SC Provisionally Removes Age Barrier from JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2019
The Supreme Court of India has provisionally removed the age limit for JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2019. Candidates who are 25 years and older can also register for JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam.
The Supreme Court of India has ordered the removal of the age limit for JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2019 exams. The decision of apex court is a boon to a lot of aspirants who were unable to register for IIT JEE exam due to the age limit rule.
As per the latest order of the Supreme Court, candidates who are 25 years and older can also register for JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam. However, the order issued by the court is interim or provisional. These students can provisionally appear for JEE exam until the final verdict on the plea on age barrier for JEE Main and JEE Advanced is pronounced by the Supreme Court of India.

The apex court further ordered NTA to keep its website active for one week to consider/ accept applications from the candidates above 25 years for JEE Main 2019 and JEE Advanced 2019.
Aspirants above 25 years of age can register for JEE Main April 2019 exam, and the online application process for the same will begin from February 08, 2019. Even though the order issued by SC is provisional, it is advisable to apply and qualify JEE Main 2019. Meanwhile, the court will take the final decision on the plea pertaining to removing age limit for JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
JEE Main January 2019 results were out last week . Almost 9 lakh candidates appeared for January exam of JEE Main 2019. These students can register for JEE Main April 2019 to improve their score. Fresh applications are also accepted for April exam of JEE Main 2019.
