About JEE Advanced 2018

JEE Advanced 2018 is conducted every year by the seven Zonal Coordinating (ZC) IITs under the main guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). For the year 2018, JEE Advanced will be organised by IIT Kanpur. Last year, it was conducted by IIT Madras. JEE Advanced is conducted on a national-level for candidates seeking admission in Engineering and Architecture courses offered at ISM (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad and IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).

The second stage of engineering admissions to the IITs after JEE Main, i.e. JEE Advanced 2018 is conducted in the online mode across the country. It has 120 examination centres in India and 6 centres abroad. JEE Advanced 2018 is taken after JEE Mains, by only those candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam and feature in the list of top 2.25 lakh candidates. 

 

JEE Advanced 2018 Conducting Body

Every year, the JEE Advanced examination is organised by Seven Zonal IITs (short for Indian Institutes of Technology) under the guidance of the JAB (Joint Admission Board).

For the year 2018, JEE Advanced will be organised by IIT Kanpur on May 20, 2018. The Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Advanced is the entrance examination basis which candidates get admission in the Engineering, Science, Architecture programmes offered by IITs.

The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Masters and Dual Degree programmes (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The JAB is the decision-making body of IIT admissions that introduces all the policies.
