AMU Postpones Annual Examinations
- Professor Mansoor informed that there will be no further delay in the exam schedule so that the academic calendar is not affected.
- The AMU annual examinations will begin from 12 May 2018 as per the new schedule.
The annual examinations of theAligarh Muslim Universitywill start from 12 May 2018. Tariq Mansoor, Vice- Chancellor,AMUinformed the authorities that the exams are postponed due to the ongoing student protest on the campus.
The university took the decision topostponethe exams in order to improve the situation on the campus. According to the varsity, they are taking a lot of steps to bring back peace at the campus. They are addressing all the genuine demands raised by the campus due to the violence on theAMUcampus on 2 May.

AMU has set up acoordination committeeconsisting of 16 members who are trying to understand the problems raised by the students. They have also urged the students to come forward and help in the process of normalcy.
Professor Mansoor further said that university will not delay theexamination scheduleanymore as it will affect the career of the students and the wholeacademic calendarwill be affected. The university authorities are in regular talks withprotesting studentsand district authorities so that they can chalk out a plan to address their demands and establish complete normalcy in the university.

Aligarh Muslim Universityis one of the prestigious institutions of the country offering higher education in the field of science, commerce, law, and humanities. The varsity has started with theiradmission processfor various bachelor's, masters and diploma courses. The entrance exams will be conducted for admission to the respective courses at Aligarh and outside exam centres.
