AYUSH PG Admission Guidelines 2018-19

The Ministry of AYUSH has issued new admission guidelines for thePost Graduate (PG) AYUSH coursesfor the academic session 2018-19. All the states will have to follow the PG AYUSH admission guidelines 2018 for admissions. Candidates must make a note of these guidelines so that they figure out whether they are eligible for admission in PG AYUSH courses or not.

The ministry planned to conduct the centralised counselling for PG AYUSH courses. However, the proposal has been scrapped due to some administrative reasons, and state governments or UTs can conductPG AYUSH admissionson their own for this year.

AYUSH PG Admission Guidelines 2018-19

Here are the admission guidelines notified by Ministry of AYUSH for postgraduate AYUSH courses –

• Only those candidates with a validAIAPGET 2018score can participate in PG AYUSH counselling process (state-level) for the admission inAYUSH PG coursesfor the academic session 2018-19.
• Candidates of General Category must have a minimum of 50% of the total marks in AIAPGET 2018 to be eligible for the counselling and admission process.
• The minimum qualifying marks in AIPGET 2018 for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) is 45% of the total marks so that they are eligible PG AYUSH counselling process.
• The qualifying marks required for SC/ ST categories is 45% of total marks to be eligible for postgraduate AYUSH admissions.
• An internship is a mandatory requirement for the PG AYUSH admissions, and the cutoff date for completing an internship is October 31, 2018.
• The last date to get admission in PG AYUSH courses is October 31, 2018.
