CBSE Affiliation to Go Completely Digital from March 1
CBSE is restructuring the affiliation system for schools and will be making the process completely digital on the basis of data analytics from March 1, 2021.A detailed document regarding this will be out soon.
CBSE has restructured the affiliation system for schools and is planning to make the same completely digital on the basis of data analytics. This will lead to the least human intervention. The new CBSE affiliation system will come into effect from 1st March 2021.
The restructuring has been done as per the recommendations of education reforms in the National Education Policy (NEP).CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi informed that restructuring will help in establishing ease of doing business in the CBSE affiliation system and will also helo in achieving transparency and will bring more accountability. The detailed guidelines on the restructured system will be released soon.
The detailed document on the CBSE affiliation system will have details about the online procedure for affiliation, documents required, and SOPS for inspection. The board has also revised the timelines for the application process as per the restructured system. According to the revised timeline, the application window for fresh affiliation and up gradation will open three times i.e. 1st to 31st March, 1st to 30th June, and 1st to 30th September.
To procure the digital signature of a school from authorised service provider or AADHAAR-based signatures and uploading mandatory documents including no objection certificate, land certificate, safety certificate, among others.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has 24,930 schools affiliated with it in India and abroad.
