CBSE Pending Exams to be Held in Schools Where Students are Enrolled

 HRD Minister informed that the CBSE pending class 10 and 12 board exams will be held in schools where students are enrolled. The board will most likely release the result by July-end.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, HRD Minister informed that the CBSE pending class 10 and 12 board exams will be held in schools where students are enrolled. According to him, this move will ensure minimum travel for the students. He further added that the board exams will be conducted following strict norms of social distancing and safety measures. Also, MHA has granted from lockdown to conduct board exams.

The Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) has announced that the students can appear for the pending CBSE board exams from the city they are in to enable the least commute to the students. This is because some of the students are stuck at hostels or some of them have moved from their schools to home towns. This move will also ensure the safety of the students.

CBSE Increases Exam Centre from 3,000 to 15,000 for Pending Board Papers

CBSE has identified additional 12,000 centers to conduct the pending board examinations which will take place in July. Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank informed that the board has increased the exam center from 3,000 to 15,000 to ensure that the social distancing is being followed during the exams.

The CBSE evaluation process has already started and the board exams will be held side by side. He informed that the board is trying to release the result soon and the efforts are being made to announce the result by end of July. The pending CBSE board exams will take place from 1st July to 15th July for classes 10 and 12th

To ensure that the CBSE board results are released by the end of July, HRD informed that the teachers involved in the evaluation process of class 10 and 12 answer sheets will be exempted from academic and administrative work for the respective period. The evaluation process is being carried out from home. Over 3, 000 CBSE evaluation centers were earmarked and from there answer sheets were distributed to teachers at their respective for evaluation and then will be collected.

The new session will start following all the safety and social distancing measures. HRD Minister during the question and answer round informed that there are 33 crore students enrolled with CBSE and they are stressed when will school reopen and how will they function. The board is yet to take a decision on the re-opening dates and academic but have asked NCERT to plan a framework on how to re-open education institutes and schools. University Grants Commission is working on a similar framework for higher education institutes as the safety and health of the students is the top priority.
