Addressing the seventh convocation ceremony of Kuvikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU), Javadekar explained that various Sanskrit universities across the country need to prepare a draft proposal for bringing out study material in the ancient language. He pointed that Sanskrit is the mother of all the Indian languages and there is a need to revive and develop the language.

He further explained that there is a need to give equal importance to all the Indian languages instead of giving importance to English. Students who study in local languages will also have a bright future. He clarified that Sanskrit must not be treated as a language to study but shall be regarded as studying ancient literature.
