Delhi University PG Courses to Comply with CBCS System
Delhi University is planning to revise MBA and M.Com courses to comply with CBCS system. The revision of these courses will take place at the next Academic Council (AC) meeting of the varsity.
The Standing Committee of Academic Affairs of theUniversity of Delhihas approved a proposal to revise some of the PG courses offered by the varsity to comply withCBCS (Choice-Based Credit System).The varsity will implement the grade-based system through CBCS. In a meeting that was recently held, a decision was taken to revise theMBAandM.Comcourses of DU. The revision of these courses will take place at the next Academic Council (AC) meeting of the varsity.
The idea to comply some of thePG courseswith CBCS system was rolled out last year. However, the decision in this regard was delayed due to some reasons. The matter is before the final approval of AC, and if the proposal gets approval, there are chances for the implementation of the new syllabus this year itself.

DU has not yet commenced the classes for PG students. Therefore, the varsity has to complete the approval process by the end of this month so that new batch will study the new syllabus under CBCS system. As per the CBCS system, the performance of students is evaluated semester-wise.
According to officials, due to a delay by the administration, several departments could not get time to understand the CBCS format causing a delay in the revision process of the syllabi.

Apart from a few PG courses, DU is also planning to implement CBCS for some of the UG courses. The proposal regarding the revision ofUG coursesis yet to get approval.
