DU Admissions 2017: Only 10% Seats Vacant after Fourth Cut-off List
- The varsity has been successful in filling 90% of seats in popular courses and only 10% seats remain vacant.
- At Daulat Ram College, around 150 seats remain vacant in various courses including B.Com (Hons), B.Com and B.A English (Hons).
The merit based UG admissions for the year 2017-18 under fourth cut-off list at Delhi University closed on July 15, 2017. The varsity has been successful in filling 90% of seats in popular courses and only 10% seats remain vacant. According to sources, few colleges have already closed the admissions. DU and its constituent colleges offer 50,000 seats in UG courses under merit category.
According to an official data of DU, the admissions for 45,000 seats have been approved and 42,000 students have paid the admission fee by July 15, 2017. An official of DU revealed that 3,500 students secured admission in the fourth round. Now, only 10% of seats are left vacant and the next cut-off list is expected on July 18, 2017.

The Principal of Sri Venkateswara College revealed that they admitted students beyond capacity. The college offers 1,150 seats in various courses while it has approved 1,198 admissions. All the vacant seats under general category will be closed by the next cut-off list.
Ramjas College is also expecting to close admission process by the next cut-off list. There are only 100 seats left in various courses. On the other hand, Kirori Mal College claimed that fourth round was the last chance for the candidates as most popular course choices will be closed.

Candidates aspiring for science courses can apply for Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College. The college has filled 570 seats out of 800 in various courses.
