Deputy Dean of Student Welfare, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Tuteja revealed that it is only recently that the University of Delhi started compiling the date from all the 48 education boards of the country. He added that it would be interesting to know and see as to how many of these applications are converted into admissions from now on.

Last year, as many as 75-80% students who grabbed an admission seat at the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) belonged to South India despite the fact that the cut-offs for these colleges were as high as 99 to 100 percent, especially for courses such as Eco (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.).
