Government Keen to Hire Graduates from IIT Bombay, Says Maharashtra CM
Chief Minister of Maharashtra revealed that the government is looking for ideas regarding developing the standard of life of urban poor, mobility in using technology, usage of technology to end farmers' misery and others.
Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, stated that the government is keen on hiring graduates from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He made this statement at the inaugural session of 'Transform Maharashtra' initiative which is being conducted as a part of IIT Bombay's cultural festival Mood Indigo. On this occasion, he urged the students to take an active role in the process of governance.
He also revealed that the government is looking for ideas regarding developing the standard of life of urban poor, mobility in using technology, usage of technology to end farmers' misery and others. He mentioned that the best ideas would be rewarded and implemented by the government.

On this occasion, an interactive session was organised by IIT-Bombay between CM Fadnavis and reputed journalist Arnab Goswami. The interactive session was open to all students. However, limited questions were posed by various students and journalist regarding employment opportunities in public sector for IITians.
In reply, Fadnavis answered that the government is willing to hire skilled graduates from IIT-Bombay through campus placement. He also cited that the fellowship programme which he launched for younger minds was successful.

He also lauded the step taken by PM to end the corruption and black money. He stated that demonetization has been highly successful and it is time for the citizens to go cashless and bring transparency in the system and advised the people to pay taxes on time to avoid black money.
