The main objective behind the decision of state government is to create a workforce of GST-trained professionals. The inclusion of GST in the curriculum will also help students to have a better understanding of new taxation policies.

Governor of UP, Mr. Ram Naik, convened the VCs meeting ahead of the commencement of the new academic session. The Governor was of the opinion that GST will emerge as a strong driver of growth in the days to come. He termed GST as the biggest tax reform after independence.

Ever since GST came into effect, it has become the talk of the nation. Experts have been trying consistently to understand the real concept of GST. Few experts were of the opinion that people can witness a change in the long run and implementation of GST is a positive move. GST is something that eliminates all forms of indirect taxes. Commerce and Accounting students will be highly benefitted if GST is included in the curriculum.
