GTU Semester Exams to Begin Soon; 4.5 Lakh Students to Appear
- Gujarat Technological University exams for diploma and degree courses are to begin from 24 April and for B.Tech/B.E., B.Arch (8 sem) will start on 28 April.
- All the centres would have a CCTV installed in order to avoid any irregularities.
The annual examination of Gujarat Technological University has around 550 colleges under it offering both degree and diploma programmes in the fields of management, hotel management, pharmacy, engineering, architecture, and others. The exams are to start from 24 April and 4.5 lakh students would sit for this examination.
According to the university authorities, the exams for diploma engineering courses are to begin from 24 April and for all eight semesters in B.Tech/B.E., B.Arch etc will start from 28 April and M.E. course exams are scheduled from 1 May.

All the examination centers would have a CCTV installed network and the security system will be cross-checked to avoid any irregularities. Invigilators would also visit the exam centers from time to time apart from flying squads of the same university or institute. GTU official also stated that the university would take disciplinary actions against any cheating or copy case by students.
Various cheating and copying cases have been recorded in the past years. Therefore, to avoid any such cases university officials will have a strong security system and strict actions would be taken against students found copying during the exam.

However, the exams are starting a bit early this year as a large number of students are planning for higher education abroad and to accommodate the schedule, the examination will commence a little early and continue till the end of June. The exam will conclude on 6 June for all degree and diploma courses.
