ICAI Declares Fee Wavier for J&K, North East and Ladakh Students
ICAI declares to provide fee concessions to students of Ladakh, North East and the newly formed J&K. Students will be exempted from 75% of the registration course fee of all Chartered Accountant Courses - Foundation, Intermediate and Final.
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided on providing fee waivers in all registration course fees to the students of North East, J&K and Ladakh. As per the latest update, 75% of the fee will be exempted for students registring from these regions. Foundation, Intermediate and Final Chartered Accountant courses are included in the scheme. The ICAI Council also declared to establish a Representative Office in the newly formed Union Territory -Ladakh.
The step was taken to boost the confidence of CA aspirants in these regions as a lot has been happening J&K and Ladakh in recent days. The council also wants to spread awareness regarding the role of a CA among the youth of these states. ICAI has always been a true contributor to Nation Building and this initiative will do the same.

Setting up of Registration office in Ladakh is going to spread awareness and help students in entering the CA course and preparing for CA-CPT. Field Experts would help in achieving the goals. Students will be told about the Employment Opportunites that a person gets after completing the course. To support interested candidates the council has marginalized at maximum.
Various Organisations have come forward as an active participant for the development of J&K and Ladakh. Some of the major activities are as follows:
- AICTE asked university officials to take care of J&K students
- ICSI Introduced Full Fee Wavier for J&K students
- ICAI Pushed CA Registration Deadlines for J&K Students
- Startup Camp for youth at J&K and Indian Army
The ICAI has taken a huge step for the youth of these states. This venture of ICAI would bring in consciousness in the students for being a contributor to the nation's economy. Students will get knowledge of Corporate Governance, Accountancy and Governance Services by being a part of the plan. This is a golden opportunity for all the students in these states and they must not leave it.
