The Jammu and Kashmir Governor’s administration has granted Rs. 50 lakh award money on 30th January 2018. The award money of Rs. 50 lakh was awarded to around 400 meritorious class 10th and class 12th students of J&K state.
The J&K School Education Department will award 99 meritorious class 12th students (Kashmir division) with Rs.15,000 each and 100 students from the Jammu division will be awarded the same amount.
Rs. 10,000 each will be granted to 100 class 10th students of Kashmir division and 98 students from the Jammu division. The award money will be sent to students through direct benefit transfer mode. Such awards motivate the students to achieve more and boost their morale for the future.
Apart from this, Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has granted ascholarship of Rs. 3.5 lakh to 12 cadets of the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun who belong to Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to set up five new medical colleges within the state. The new medical colleges will be established at Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Baramulla and Anantnag district of the Jammu and Kashmir state.

The centre has released a grant of worth Rs. 260 crore for the establishment of the medical colleges. The establishment of medical colleges within the J&K state will provide the aspirants with an opportunity to pursue their dreams.
