ICAS-MAHE Celebrates Silver Jubilee, Australian Consul-General Addresses Everyone
ICAS of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) celebrated its silver jubilee. The event was held on 3rd August 2019 and Susan Grace was invited as well.
The International Centre for Applied Sciences (ICAS) celebrated its silver jubilee and the Australian Consul-General, Susan Grace, was also invited for the event. ICAS is a constituent unit of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and celebrated its silver jubilee on 3rd August 2019, Saturday.
Susan Grace addressed everyone present at the event and said that they have a motive of strengthening bilateral relations between Australia and India in order to promote higher education opportunities for all Indian students in the leading universities of Australia. She also spoke about the advantages that international transfer programmes fetch to the students and eventually to the country.
The Consul-General also emphasised upon the need for giving global exposure to students so that they can be successful in the professional field on a global level. She also said that Indian students should outline the educational opportunities they can avail in Australia. Susan brought to light that most of the universities in Australia are ranked among the top 100 universities of the world.
ICAS offers a 2+2 twinning programme in the field of engineering which has its unique advantages. It provides an ideal platform for the students of India to obtain international degrees and immense opportunities to pave the way for developing their career abroad.
The Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, spoke about the advantages that Manipal education gives its students. He talked about the cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary opportunities that the students can avail if they have interest in the concerned field. Dr. H S Ballal, the Pro-Chancellor of MAHE, was also present for the celebrations and addressed the students, saying they need to acquire life-long learning skills and problem-solving skills to deal with the major burning problems that the world is facing today.

Many others were present for the silver jubilee celebrations of the International Centre for Applied Sciences and they gave encouraging speeches to the students and faculty of MAHE.
