IIM Ahmedabad Launches Two-Year e-PGP for Working Executives & Entrepreneurs

Through the interactive onsite learning (IOL) platform, IIM Ahmedabad is coming up with a new two-year post graduate management course that is expected to bring a sweeping change in the domain of the management education in the country. IIM Ahmedabad is the first institute in the country to offer such a course through distance and online learning process.

The new course was been launched on 16 January 2017. The new Post Graduate Programme in Management (e-PGP) course will be a satellite-based education for distance learning developed at a cost of Rs. 17 lakhs. It targets working executives and entrepreneurs and the course would be offered through an interactive onsite learning (IOL) platform.

The course would commence from June 2017. IIM Ahmedabad is looking for junior, mid-level, senior working professionals as well as entrepreneurs for the enrolment to the programme. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks obtained in the undergraduate level, and each candidate should have scored 50 percent of aggregate marks. The selection will be done on the basis of the result in GMAT and CAT or other online tests conducted by IIM Ahmedabad.

The two-year programme would be an intensive distance learning programme. Programme head and faculty member from IIM Ahmedabad, Biju Varkkey said that the first year will focus on the core subjects of management and in the second year, students will be given the option to choose their optional subjects. This innovative interactive learning process through satellite based education will be offered across more than 85 classrooms and in 50 cities in the country. For the same, IIM Ahmadabad has tied up with Hughes Global Education.
